Local Restaurant Interior Photos

Back in December, a new local restaurant, Stone Soup Cottage, let me shoot some stock photos in their interior in return for future photo work as needed.  The thing I like about a trade, is that you both get something of value out of it.  Sure, you can also pay cash for location rental, but trade is fun too.  Well, the opportunity finally arose last week to repay the favor, and I just wanted to post a few of them here.

Stone Soup Cottage has been receiving rave reviews from all kinds of St. Louis media, as well as pretty much anyone who dines there.  It is a small “house” in Cottleville, MO, and it seats about 24 or so people for the fixed price 4 or 6 course menu, Wednesdays through Sunday brunch.  The chef, Carl, creates a new menu every so often, so it is always an adventure, and it’s great to talk to him and his wife, Nancy, as they serve you the creations.  Last week, a the dining room was set for a local magazine to come in and shoot photos for an upcoming article, so they asked me to stop by to take some additional shots of the interior, and them, in the fall decorations.

If you’re in the area sometime, I highly suggest garnering a reservation and trying them out.

  1. Gorgeous rich, warm photos of Stone Soup Cottage, Sean. If I find myself in St. Louis, I’ll be sure to add myself to their list of (happy) customers.

For a while now I’ve been considering approaching favorite area eateries for similar setting-for-photo-service, and your post has inspired me to go out and do it. Smiles – Ann
