New Greasemonkey Lightbox Script

Buyers, there’s a new Greasemonkey script in town, and this one is right up your alley when it comes to ease of use of iStockphoto’s lightbox functionality.

This time, however, I didn’t write it.  It’s by iStockphoto user anchev, who has contributed some previous GM work.  The script is called iStock Lightbox Tool, and is available at this link, just by clicking.  There is a forum post about it here.

It puts a clean interface at the top of a lightbox/search return page that lets you easily deal with things like picking your current lightbox of interest to add images to, add all the images on a page, remove all the images on a page, and new buttons to add individual images.

It really is pretty self-explanatory, so I’ll just add another image here to show the beautiful “+” and “-” buttons you’ll get by pushing the “Show Controls” button.

This script is definitely a time saver and a great improvement to the lightbox interface.  I highly recommend giving it a whirl next time you are squirreling away images for later viewing.
