Back on September 5th, iStockphoto revealed their new checkout process, which allows buyers to simply add content to a shopping cart, and then quickly check out with a credit card, instead of using a pre-paid credit plan. Yesterday, they added a great piece of interface functionality to the site.

Books, books, books! Recently, our library district decided to tear down a smallish branch, and in the lot behind it, simultaneously build a 2 wing, 2 story modern branch. This place is amazing, with meeting rooms, computers, comfy lounge areas and even a big convention room. Sites on the web sometimes go down for maintenance, planned or not, much to everyone’s chagrin. If you need to access iStock to get a comp (thumbnail for rough work) when the site is down, try using Google images, constrained to iStockphoto.
On Friday, iStockphoto issued a contributor update, wherein they announced the near completion of a new stock image licensing workflow, one which will allows payments directly from a credit card: This week we have an early peek for iStock contributors into some upcoming site news: soon iStock customers will be able to pay for file downloads directly with their credit card, without first having to purchase credits.
