I love doing stock photos for the various holidays and celebrations around the calendar, and this portfolio update highlights my new Stocksy United exclusive series for Cinco De Mayo. Sure, it’s just a “few” days away, but there’s still time to get your party on!
It’s “Portfolio Update” day here on the blog, and today I’m featuring two new (short) series that are available exclusively at Stocksy United. One features some adorable baby chicks to help herald in Spring, and the other series is for the Jewish holiday of Passover, which, by the way, begins the evening of April 14, 2014.
For this week’s portfolio update, I’m featuring a brand new series and a series from a few years back, both on Stocksy United, and both celebrating the Spring holiday of Easter. It’s actually great timing, because one of the images was featured in today’s Stocksy United email promoting their Easter gallery.

I like January. I mean it isn’t my favorite month of the year, but I like the holiday wind down. Cleaning up, putting away, fresh start and all that. It also means it’s about a month away from my birthday (2/15), but more importantly for you advertising designers, Valentine’s Day! 2013 was certainly an interesting year for my stock photography business. A short recap, and then a favorite image from each month!
Time really flies this time of year. I’ve been really busy working on new holiday stock imagery that I’ve neglected my blog posting here a bit. I’ll remedy that slightly today, with an update on the new series that I’ve put up on Stocksy – “Holiday Backgrounds” for Christmas, Hanukkah and just generic “Happy Holidays”.
While I do enjoy Halloween, and I immensely love watching the leaves change during Autumn (they’ve been amazing this year, here), Thanksgiving is my highlight of the Fall months. I look forward to getting my cooking magazines with the brined and browned bird on the cover in September, the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving special (my favorite of the big three) and the Macy’s parade. Halloween is almost here! That means Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Then the winter holidays, like Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa. Advertising designers are in full swing right now. Budgets are tight, so I’m going to give you an early holiday gift!
