As you may have gleaned from my recent posts, I’ve been trying to get more “real” and “authentic” images into my stock image portfolio at Stocksy United. One theme I’ve been trying to hit hard is the idea of “local businesses” or “craftspeople”. Recently, I had the opportunity to team up with a local glass art creation facility, and I think this is some of my best work yet.
Crazy winter! I meant to get this portfolio update online yesterday, but with the 1/2 inch of snow we got (LOL), our district called a snow day, so I played with the kids instead. Our forecasters are the worst! So, today, I’m highlighting a relatively new series that can be found on Stocksy United – “Home Construction“.
Stock image buyers who shop at Stocksy United – if you ever can’t find a certain subject, get in touch with Support. They’ll let us know, and we’ll try to fill in the collection. For instance, this new series was a buyer request – “people using technology to work from home, indoors and outdoors”.
While I do enjoy Halloween, and I immensely love watching the leaves change during Autumn (they’ve been amazing this year, here), Thanksgiving is my highlight of the Fall months. I look forward to getting my cooking magazines with the brined and browned bird on the cover in September, the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving special (my favorite of the big three) and the Macy’s parade. Most of my new royalty free stock image work has been going to my portfolio at Stocksy United. One of the things Stocksy has been asking for is authentic people and locations. They also asked for sushi images. So, I recently put together a shoot combining all these requests, and have this new series available – “At the Sushi Restaurant”.
Today I continue in my series of Portfolio Updates by featuring my new series “At The Gym”, which is available exclusively at Stocksy United. Now, I know it is more Back-To-School time right now, then Back-In-Shape time, but it’s been quite a while since I’ve gotten into a fitness facility to shoot, so I wasn’t about to hold onto these until New Year’s.
We’re in July now, and that means, at least in the USA, that we are heading towards the start of the school year. Of course, that means buyers will have a need for traditional “Back To School” images, but other extra-curricular activities start up at the same time. Sports, scouts, and even dance classes. I’ve got stock images that cover all those activities, but today I’m showcasing the last one listed – “The Dance Class“.
As I continue to work to get my full catalog of stock images back online, I wanted to highlight some more of my recent additions to my personal Photoshelter stock site.
