Just in time for this year’s November elections, I have a brand new series for licensing, exclusively at Stocksy United.
I created this new image series to fill a hole I found on the various agencies. It shows United States citizens, voting at a typical polling location. The feel is very authentic, and I tried to capture a variety of actions that would happen to voters on election day.
Across the country, polling places are set up differently. I don’t think anyone is using the old “flip a lever behind a curtain” voting machines like I remember from my childhood. However, some places use touch screens, some have you stand and mark papers, and the location I go to has you sitting at tables behind a privacy wall. So, that’s the look I went for here.
There’s a line to check in, a man signs a digital tablet with his name, a woman shows a driver’s license as identification and the election official hands out ballots. The voters then sit behind privacy boards while filling out their ballot. There’s images of a nurse and a mature woman using a cell phone in the polling place, which is illegal in some areas. Lots of different compositions, and plenty of area for copyspace.
If you are in need of voting location/polling place images, get a preview of this new for the 2018 election series below, and then find the entire set on Stocksy United, here: https://www.stocksy.com/sjlocke/shoot/87300 . Thanks for visiting, and get out and vote!
