Update: New Home Package Delivery Photo Series

A new series that covers a huge segment of today’s economy.  Read on for more…

About 10 years ago (?), I did a stock photo series on this same theme – “Home Package Delivery”.  I thought it was about time to update this idea in more of today’s “style”.  However, it took me forever to have things come together for this one.  I had to find a modern van that looked like today’s delivery services.  Companies like Amazon, or even UPS and FedEx will rent vans locally for heavy shipping times.  That proved to be a problem, as suddenly every vehicle in the area would be rented for the weekend.  Or the weather said rain, so I had to postpone the rental.  Or a model would suddenly stop responding to texts.  Thankfully, it finally came together, and the session turned out some really excellent images ( in my opinion 🙂 ).

We’ve got a 20-something male delivery driver.  He could be doing this full time, or it could be a side gig or side hustle to get some extra money.  There’s the modern van, which had to have the branding from the rental company photoshopped out.  The van is full of boxes and envelopes with modern shipping labels.  The van is in front of a stylish anywhere-in-America type house.  The homeowner is there to sign the tablet for the shipment.  While shooting, I caught a lot of different compositions, some close, some wide, lots of copyspace for text, or filled with the subjects.  Plenty of variety to choose from.  Good choices for an editorial article about shipping times or the economy, or advertising for a delivery or support business.
